ghostsigns

BP

Chrysler / Lanchester / Daimler

Ghostsigns are advertisements that were once painted by hand directly onto the brickwork of buildings.  These were once a common site in cities, but the rise of printed billboards led to their decline.  Many still survive, often faded, clinging to walls that host them.  These "Ghostsigns" provide a window into the past and evidence of the craftsmanship that once went into their production.  source
